About
Our Firm
In 1924 John T. Moore and Charles Farrar started a new law firm in Ozark, Missouri. In 1925 John Moore’s son, Tom R. Moore, joined the practice and Charles Farrar moved to Dallas County to start a new law firm. In 1938 Joe Crain joined the practice, and in 1940 John Moore was elected as the Circuit Court Judge of Christian County. In 1951 Sam Appleby joined the practice, and in 1953 Joe Crain became the Circuit Court Judge of Christian County. Sam continued on with the practice himself, eventually adding attorneys Anthony McConnell in 1965, son David Appleby in 1976, and Tim McCormick in 1979. In 1979 Sam Appleby was elected Associate Circuit Judge of Christian County. Sam’s son David along with Anthony McConnell and Tim McCormick continued on with the law firm’s practice. In 1985 Sam Appleby died while in office, and Anthony McConnell was appointed to fill the judicial vacancy. In 1987 Tim McCormick retired from the practice of law to become a professor, and David Appleby continued with the firm himself. But in 2014 David formed a partnership with an established local attorney, David Healy. Today the law firm consists of David Healy as the principal along with Donovan Dobbs, David Appleby, and Bryan Berry bringing over 120 years of combined legal experience
